With Apologies To John Denver
Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 12:52PM All her bags are packed, she's ready to go.
She's standing here, inside the door.

She woke her daddy up to say goodbye.
But the dawn is breakin' it's early morn.
The Acadia's waiting. It's blowin' its horn.

She's so darned excited, she might die.

So kiss me and smile for me.

Have fun and then come back to me.
Hold me like you'll never let me go.

She's leavin' on a jet plane.

Going to Grandma's and then back home again.

Oh baby, I hate to see you go.

Awww Mindee! That so brought a tear to my eye! How precious, and scary! I'm sure she'll have a wonderful time! Hang in there!
Aww, I hope she has fun! In the picture of you both she looks so much like you! I think it's the eyes.
Aww!! She's the spitting image of you. I hope she has a fun and safe trip. She's much braver than me. I'm flying for the first time in August and I'm scared to death!
By herself?!!!! How are you not freaking out right now? I kind of feel like freaking out for you?!!!!! I mean, ummm...oh Mindee, what a great experience for Faith. I hope she has a joyous time.
I'm having a hard enough time with the thought of Anna going to Kindergarten. I don't think I'm ready to put her on an airplane yet! She'll have a great time. Good job Mindee!
aww... she'll be back before you know it!
(how do you like your acadia?)
Elizabeth - I'm sure she will too. She's a confident little thing.
Jordan - thx. I agree!
Aubrey - you'll be fine. Much safer than driving and SO much faster. You'll love it,
Latrice - it's just 90 minutes and my mom was waiting at the gate when she got off. Piece of cake.
Valerie - I couldn't have done it when she was five either. :)
Kendra - I love it!
Awww!!! So sweet! But it made me panic for just a minute that one day Bean will be old enough to fly on a plane by himself. Well, that just can't happen so now I'll have to start planting irrational fears into his little mind so he is afraid to ever leave me. Yes. That seems healthy.

She's here, fed and happy! I think I may keep her forever.................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Grandma
Mindee, I remember when you were pregnant with Faith and trying to get you to name her after me. She is so grown up now. How exciting for her and I am sure it is poignant for you.
Loved your post, you did a wonderful job.
Hugs,
Ardee-ann
A - wait for it - DORABLE!
Rich thought is was so wonderful that he made a point to come over and make sure that I looked at it as soon as possible. (That husband of yours has a heart of gold.)
Katie - It's good to plan ahead for neurosis.
Mom- good. Enjoy. And then send her back!
AA - There can only be one Ardee-Ann. :)
KB - yeah, I think I'll keep him. Besides, the warranty on him expired at 15 years.
Oh, now that was precious. I hope she has fun! She looks so excited!!
Aww she's getting so big. I know she will have fun. Did I mention that is like one of my most favorites songs! Hope she has a great time.
Your so brave. Though I did let my older two fly at 10 & 12 only because they could go together. How long will she be gone? I have been thinking of down sizing and your rig is one I have been thinking about :) Pretty
LJW - I think she will. :)
Jenna - it is a fabulous song, isn't it? Except it gets stuck in my head way too easily.
SC - My older two flew together a few years ago but this one is an independent sort. The Acadia was purchased when the Suburban died. I miss the bigger vehicle but parking and filling up are a lot more pleasant.
OMWord! I totally LOVE John Denver...even if I have to listen to him with headphones on. Very clever wordage!
SO glad she got to do something so cool and fun. What a great mom to put aside your worries and let her "spread her wings".
Oh my goodness! I would cry. And be happy, and then cry some more.
I love her travelin' pose in the first photo! And I'm not ashamed to say I was trying to guess what each line would be before I read it.
