    Wordless Wednesday - Spring Cleaning

    You probably just shouldn't ask.

    Really.

    You don't want to know.

Oh, the INDIGNITY of it all.

    Sweet reward.

This is going to make me sound stupid... but it never occurred to me that you'd have to bathe a horse, much less in their private spaces.

Though they seem to accept it far better than some dogs and most cats, so I suppose it evens out in the animal ownership competition.

p.s.~ I won't judge you (though seriously, it's an amazing book - if you gave it a chance you might be surprised at how much you enjoy it) if you don't judge me - I gave up on Jodi Picout after My Sister's Keeper, as I can't handle books that are that sad.

p.p.s.~ Really, it's actually quite good.

    Oooh! A horse!!
I love horses!!! It's my favorite animal!!
    I wish I had one!
    Yours is so beautiful!!
    And, don't worry: I won't ask.
Because I really don't want to know...

Hee hee. We had four horse's on our farm not all at once. But ya something about cleaning that area just makes you want to shout "Clean your own darn ------"!

    Missy - that she is.

Megan - Technically, since horses never come indoors, they don't really NEED a bath - just a good hosing down now and then. However, if you show them at all they need to be bathed so it's a good thing to do it regularly so they are accustomed to it.

    Chloe - you're smart. ;)

Sarah - I could be worse. She could be a gelding!

I have to say that yours are some of my favorite comments...thank you so much. For making me laugh, for being a faithful friend. :)
Your pictures are great, although I don't envy you the job (you know how I feel about cleaning, much less about cleaning a horse's hiney and stuff). I had a really silly thought, from your title. Wouldn't it be funny if your horse's name were Spring? I'm so dumb.

Whee! Spring Cleaning indeed! Now that's a job I think I could really get into - booty washing and all! Your horse is lovely, and looks like a real dream! I don't have to ask - cause I already KNOW and trust me, I wish I didn't!

Christina - It would be funny. :) "Jamboree Cleaning" just doesn't have the same punch.

Elizabeth - I do like washing the horse, waxy teats and all. It is MUCH more fun than cleaning the house.

Gelding? What's a gelding? Or do I not want to know that either?

There's nothin' like a clean animal!! Yay!

Oh Taylor - please don't ask what a gelding is! I bet you can guess - they start as "boys".

    June 2, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterElizabeth

LJW - Let's just say that geldings come with LARGE parts that I would rather not clean.

Heather - Yay indeed. She smelled like Green Apple when we were done.

    Elizabeth - Ha!

How funny!! He looks beautiful! Unfortunately I do know exactly what you guys were doing all too well, that's a smell I will never forget, or a gag as my dog liked to eat the dropped pieces of gunk....

Oh I remember those days...sticking my hand up there. Cleaning out stuff.
