    One Weird Thing About Me

I have to have the eggs balanced in the egg carton.

Eggs are to be used from either end, keeping the carton in balance.

I have anxiety if they are removed haphazardly.

Or, even worse, are all bunched up on one end.

    Seriously.

Just looking at that picture makes me hyperventilate a tiny bit.

If I knew they were sitting in the refrigerator that way I would be unable to rest until I fixed them.

No, Rich did not know this about me when he married me.  Why do you ask?

The Raspberry Almond Bars are up In The Fridge.

    Enjoy!

ahh! I wish I had some of those raspberry bars to eat, YUM!

I'm all about egg carton balance as well. I don't have to take from the outside, but if I'm using more than one egg I will always take the mirror egg from the other side. Balanced eggs aren't just an anal thing, they make sense! You wouldn't want the box to tip over and all the eggs to break!

That could be because you grew up in a household where the eggs were always
    balanced!

I have similar feelings regarding eggs in the carton, I feel like if they are not balanced then they may tip over and break as soon as someone tried to take the carton out of the fridge. But thankfully I do not lose sleep over it.

    And the bars? YUM!

We all have our little nuances, don't we? :)
I cannot now and have never been able to reuse a towel. Lots of folks do, and it's ok by me if someone else does it...but I just can't do it. Guess you can imagine what my laundry pile looks like? :)

That's not an obsession it's a pet peeve - one of mine too! I can't stand to life an unbalanced egg carton out of the fridge!! Here lately I've been buying a 5 dozen box - and darned if they take them from the MIDDLE and leave them around the edges?!?!

OH MY GOSH! I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one! They HAVE to be balanced in there! If you put the heavy end in the frig first then pull it out later, what happens?!?! The heavy end ends up tipping over! RIght? So MINE have to be the same way! And if someone gets eggs out wrong, I will fix them! I get really funny looks! So thanks for making me feel better! :)

Mindee, I love your little peccadilloes they are so cute. Do not come to Arkansas and look at my eggs? OK! I have to use mine from one end to the other. I can't handle having them in mixed up order. It has to be used in a certain prescribed order. Your egg cartons would freak me out and mine would trouble you.

Sorry about the lemon poppy seed cake!

    Hugs to you,

You don't want to know what I do with eggs. Seriously, we might stop being friends.

    The bars look yummy!!

I enjoy your bars very much...very low in fat and calories than any that I see at my house! :)

I totally agree with you about the eggs. They must always be balanced.... and I would lose sleep over it, but I am the only one who gets into the eggs so it is all good here! BTW love your blog... thanks for sharing yourself with us!

I'm the same way about the eggs as well. In fact, I just made brownies (put them into cupcake pans with a chunk of caramel in the middle, too!) and balanced out the eggs before I put them back in the fridge because my brother made them all screwy... Going to check out the raspberry bars now!

I must have balanced eggs too, it just makes more sense.

I'm the same way...you should see how I grocery shop. Everything MUST be organized by shape and product, otherwise I feel like hyperventilating. Makes for better bagging though.

I gotta say, all you egg balancers are weird.

Ah, yes, the egg balance. A couple of years ago I noticed my dad rearranging the eggs in a carton so they were balanced and for a while I thought my dad had lost it and kept going on with my "unbalanced" ways. Then one day I was taking a carton out of the fridge and being unbalanced, I...dropped the carton. It was a very sad day. I now balance the eggs.

Oh I hear you on the eggs....especially when they all end up at one end. Who does that??? The bars look yummy : )

How funny, but I have my own egg system down also. You know since we have chickens and all its the only way I can tell which are the newest verses the oldest eggs, and my hubby never gets it right, lol!

I see Raspberry bars made the cut, off to check them out.
