Pick Another One
Friday, March 5, 2010 at 8:01AM Boy y'all have some weird family members. Last week your dead relative made you pick between a chef or a maid. This week your great-uncle died and left you $50,000 - after taxes. But of course he made some provisions. The $50,000 is only payable in one of two ways.
Either to:
1) A car dealership. You can use the $50,000 towards the purchase of a new or used car/s. You are allowed to trade in any vehicles you currently own to help with the purchase.

or
2) A travel agent. $10,000 will be paid directly to a travel agent every other year for 10 years to be used towards any vacation you choose and corresponding expenses.

So what is it going to be?

Oh this one is easy, Travel agen here we come. We would break it up into a few shorts trips, maybe Mexico, a cruise, I like tropical, sit on the beach drinking a cold one kind of vacays!
We're pretty good in the car area right now, so I think I'd go with vacation. We've been saving up to visit our friend in Spain. But we will both soon have new jobs and won't be able to take much time off for vacations, so no matter how much money we have to vacation with, it all comes down to having the time! But I'm sure we'd figure out some way :)
Oh definitely the vacation. I want to go to England, Ireland, Italy, and France and Mitch want to go to Australia and Fiji. So we definitely need the money for these trips or else we are gonna be stuck camping out and going to Six Flags for our vacations.
Easy for me, too, but...car. Biased. We have 2 rapidly dying cars. Which my fiance has managed to have an accident in BOTH of them in the past 2 months.
Ooo.. I'm going to have to go with the travel. I mean, a car probably won't last that long, and free travel is AWESOME! :)
We would definitely use it for travel. We love to travel and try to do it as much as often. In fact, we tend to spend money on travel rather than other items. With my husband being in the Army and going off for training, we wouldn't need a car as much, but could definitely spend quality time travelling together when he is on leave. We really want to head back to Hawaii in the next couple of years. :)
Vacation!! We own both our vehicles and naturally being a SAHM I'd love to have a vacation. Did the rules specify that I take anyone with me?
Travel!
I received this wonderful book called 101 places to see before you're 12, and I really want to get my girls to all of them. One is a lighthouse, and I don't count any lighthouses that aren't located on the coast! What's the point of seeing one that didn't function?
Oh, easy choice for me too! Travel! We have NEVER had a REAL vacation - always car trips or camping or visiting family - and we are celebrating our 40th anniversary next month! Sad, I know! So, we'd travel like mad vagabonds!
VACATION!!
New guitars and amps. That was one of the choices right?
No. No it most definitely was NOT one of the choices my love. Not at all. I'm sure what you MEANT to say was that you'd choose the vacation option so you could whisk your wife away to all the most romantic spots on earth.
Right?
How I wish my answer were travel but I really need a new car. If I could only make up my mind which one...$50 K would sure narrow my choices though!
travel. olli and i just worked out how much we spend a year on travel and it's INSANE. in a way, we've made this choice in real life, because we can't afford a car due to our travel expenses...
I'd do the vacation, love vacations and don't get too many!
GAH! That's HARD. Because if we bought hybrid vehicles we could potentially save enough money on gas to buy our own vacations....I dunno.
Travel agent, thank you very much! So manuy places I want to go!!!
Rich, I'm sure my husband would say either technology or trumpets...I gotta good laugh!
I would pick vacation. I'd love to get the kids to Disney World some time along, and I'd love for Kevin and myself to get to take a trip to Europe as a second honeymoon without our kids. Maybe go back to Maine, too! We'll visit family we haven't seen in a long time.
Vacation all the way! I love travelling! And I would love to go more with my kids, but $$$, you know!
So . . .are you giving away these prizes? Just kidding!
TRA-VEL. (but do we HAVE to take the kids? JUST KIDDING!)
