Wordless Wednesday
Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 6:02AM Hayden's first wrestling meet.
I have no understanding of this sport at all. All I do know is that Hayden was worn out for the rest of the day. And a worn out Hayden? Well that is a very good thing.

Bonus points! It looks like he might have won though. :)
Yeah, about that - he would only let me post the "good" pictures. There were many of him on the losing end with some hilarious expressions on his face! Out of three matches, he won one by a pin, got pinned in the second and lost the third on points.
My oldest daughter has finally caught on to the fact that I have a blog and is now worried about pictures being in there.
So sad.
If only we could post everything!
I'll never understand wrestling. It was big at my (second) high school. And I took some sadistic pleasure in watching boys try to franticly lose 7 pounds in 3 days to get in the lower weight class.
Hee hee, boys obsessing about weight.
LJW - This post would have been HILARIOUS had I been given free rein. As it is, it's just a nice memento.
KB - Yeah, that aspect of the sport has me worried. Otherwise though, it seems ok - just seems weird to want to roll around on a mat with a sweaty opponent.
My husband says that wrestling taught him self-control and discipline. sounds like a sport I need to get into.
I so don't get wrestling, either...but that's okay! I don't get a lot of things boys and men enjoy!
Our wrestling season just ended. Last match last night. This has got to be a parent's punishment for everything we have done wrong raising our children. Wrestling is not a spectator sport. Wrestling is boring. Thank goodness for my blackberry and a halfway decent cell connection or I may have taken up smoking again just to pass the time.
Go Hayden Go!! Anything that wears them out is a good thing.
I keep thinking I want to get Christian involved in the martial arts (a martial art?) but maybe I should go the wrestling route! He takes so long to go to sleep. But maybe this would help him conk out. haha
Hope Hayden has a great season and learns a lot.
And I'm glad my kids are still at the point that they think it's fun for me to put pics up of them. :)
