Feelin' The Love
Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 9:01AM My husband, Rich, loves to shop. He loves to go to the mall and browse the racks and talk to the salespeople. He loves to pick out gifts for me.
And I do not appreciate it one bit.
Whenever he comes home with something for me, my first concern is for the price. Then I get all picky about what he picked and whether or not it's something I like or really need. More often than not he has to take it back.
Yes I am weird. Yes I know most women wish they had problems like this. I can't help it. I will tell you though that as much as Rich likes to buy gifts, he is just as bad about getting them.
So there.
What I DO like is receiving a text like this one:
"It has been 7553 days, 15 hours, 30 minutes and 23 seconds since my last first kiss. :-)"
That is what makes my heart go pitter-pat. That is romance to me.
Unless.
Wait.
Does that sound like perhaps he has had a new first kiss?
Rich? Honey?

The first kiss is obviously new for each person you are dating and since you were my last first kiss, there have been no others since our first kiss. Not now, not next week, not ever.
Awe! His clarification is even sweeter than the original tweet. Nice save, Rich! BTW, I feel exactly the same way about gifts from my husband. So if you are weird... guess I am too. Now I need chocolate.
So great!! 100 points for Rich!
Awww....your hubby sounds incredibly sweet.

I'll trade hubs with you. My husband never buys me anything b/c he is like you: How much is this going to cost, does she really need this, etc.
But you just gave me an idea on a text message to send to mine.
(PS: Nice save Rich)
Rich - I knew it. But I like the reassurance just the same.
Kristen - Oh good! I'm not alone.
Katie - Yep. He did good.
TDF - He really is - most of the time.
SUT- yeah, how is it that my kind of husband never ends up with the appreciative wife and vice versa?
Awww... that makes me want to send my fiancee a message like that. So cute. :)
Awww that's so sweet.
Very sweet. You have a good guy! :)
Can't your pretend to like the gift?? I've done that a time or two, and OH EM GEE, how cute was that text!! My hubs never ever sends me sweet texts.
Very sweet and toughtful that he took the time to figure that out!
Good night, Nurse! Could your hubby be any more romantic? I'm going to go slap my hubby upside the head jsut for NOT coming up with anything romantic to say to me! =)
