    Life's Important Questions

So, let's say you are between jean sizes.  Between jean sizes, but working your way down the scale.

On an average morning, do you prefer to put on your bigger sized jeans?  Sure they are more comfortable, but they are going to be baggy by the end of the day.

Or do you squeeze into the smaller size just because you can and hope they stretch?

And would your answer be different if you were working your way up the scale?

Why yes I am a bit bored today.  Why do you ask?

Wow - I'm the first commentor (er?)

Being that I have gone up the ladder these past few months, I haven't worn my smaller size since before Christmas. I could punish myself and squeeze into them as in incentive, but why be uncomfortable. It just depresses me. I already have weather depressing me, I don't need fat to depress me, too. Since I have given away most of my larger sizes after my weight loss, I only have one pair that fits okay right now. So I have been wearing my sons jeans when I need a spare pair. I refuse - absolutely REFUSE - to buy any more in a larger size because by golly, those size 10's will fit again!

I'm down 3 this week, but only because I was up so much! I have 9 pounds to go before those 10's will be just right. Why was it so easy putting those 9 pounds on but HELL taking them off!

I prefer the smaller jeans with a big top so you can't see my stomach pooching over the top. I have perfected this look.

I prefer the baggy look and wear a belt, if necessary. I like feeling comfortable and not squeezed like a sausage, if I have the choice.

tammy - I love putting on weight. It is loads of fun. A perfect remedy for this abhorrent weather.

Katie - you must be the apple shape I covet. I am an inverted muffin. It's much harder to disguise.

Amy - Sausage is exactly the comparison I made. :)

I usually just pick up the pair that are laying on the floor from the day before, then they fit great the next day ;)

Riders Slim Fit jeans at Walmart. They have built in tummy tuck control and fit beautifully around my big butt and gutt. And I can wear a size smaller and look like it.

I prefer the smaller ones that stretch out :)

I also prefer the smaller ones :)
The bigger ones are uncomfortable for me... Dunno why.

I definitely wear the smaller ones with a big top, like Katie said. And, I'm going UP the scale. Maybe I'm just in denial and not wanting to wear the bigger pants. Hmmm....

Or do you squeeze yourself into your bigger size and curse yourself a little because these jeans were supposed to be for "emergencies" only?

sarah - yes! I go to great lengths to avoid washing my jeans.

Kristen and Chloe - good job with the optimism. :)

Maggie - I totally think it makes a difference depending on whether you are going up or down.

Mindy - That my friend, is what I call "inspiration" and why I am currently on a diet.

baggy. my jeans are almost always too baggy. even when i've just bought them. i think i'm afraid of buying them too small, so i ALWAYS think, "oh, they'll shrink." but then they don't. they stretch.

The bigger jeans, definitely. Then, you'll remember all day that you've gone a little bit down on the scale. Happy thoughts!

    LOL LOL
That is a funny post. Why were you bored? Weren't you busy cutting stuff out or did Jesy finish that? :)
I am going to start sending you down some work. :) It seems there is always something to do.

Oh, I go for the big ones that make me feel skinny.

If I have nowhere to go: skinny jeans. Then I bend a lot to stretch them out. I try to keep them clean so I don't have to wash them. The next day, they fit great and look great! Brilliant!

I just want to know who is actually going "up" in sizes? In any case, for me, it just depends on the day. Some days (which also correspond with times of the month), I can't get baggy enough clothes. The smaller sizes usually come around on days when I have a nice baggy shirt to hide the muffin top I have still not gotten used to. Ironically, while you may feel fatter in the smaller sizes-you actually look fatter in the larger sizes.

Yet another reason summer is so superior to winter-you can just bag this whole issue and wear a sundress with flip flops!
