    Pick One

It's Friday and I'm feeling indecisive.  Which would you choose?

A rich, eccentric relative dies and leaves a very creative will.  For the rest of your life financing will be provided to pay the salaries of one of the following:

    1) A daily maid*.

This maid will come each day at whatever time you wish and cheerfully do whatever tasks need doing quickly and efficiently.

    OR

    2) A chef

TThe chef will plan and prepare delicious, nutritious meals for you and whatever guests you may have each and every day.  Picky eaters do not bother this chef at all and he/she loves to bake and will clean up any messes they make.

    Additional notes:

-The maid will also do your laundry.

-The chef will also do your grocery shopping though you have to pay for the groceries.

-You can only pick one or the wonderful gift goes to your annoying cousin.

So which is it?  The maid or the chef?

*Never, ever go on a google images search for "maid." (Shudder)

I would FOR SURE choose a maid. Ugh, my house is always a mess... mainly because my mother and brother live with me and they just have way too much stuff :P Oh... don't even get me started.

P.S. Are you saying you're going to kill one of my long-lost rich relatives that I don't know about but apparently they know about me and want to leave me loads of money... because that would be super!!!

Plus I love the grocery store... don't ask why.

The maid. I am in a constant battle with dust bunnies.

Maid for me also, I love cooking and shopping so not a problem for me, but I hate hate hate cleaning and you said laundry too! Awesome!

This is so easy! I would for sure choose the chef! Especially after you said I wouldn't have to get groceries anymore. No more having to think about meals... oh that would be wonderful!
    Fun question!

Also, never google image search Conservative Ninny. Dont even ask me why.

Personally I'd rather be a Chef that isnt under a deadline or pressure. Otherwise a maid.

For me it would have to be the Chef... as much as I hate cleaning -- I hate grocery shopping, and dishwashing more... and maybe if I got a good one they'd teach me a thing or two in the kitchen!

Definitely the maid. I'm incapable of keeping a clean house but I love cooking. I find cooking to be therapeutic (at least when I'm making things my picky eater of a husband will eat).

Would the maid clean up my mess in the kitchen? Eg. Dishes?

of course i HAD to do a google images search for maid then ... i was hoping you were shuddering at wrinkly old nasty women, but alas ... you were not. ew. i would totally choose the maid!!!

CHEF! I hate to cook, and if someone were cooking then I could have a little extra time for the cleaning. I don't trust anyone else to do it. I've seen housekeepers do stuff that was just plain gross at someone else's house (I was babysitting). No way, man. Chef, all the way.
Are you doing a giveaway?! :)

    February 26, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterChristina

This is a no-brainer for me--the chef! The chef! I don't enjoy cooking...at all, but I actually do like to clean! Fun question...if only it were a giveaway...

Definitely would pick the maid. I like to cook too much to pick the chef.

Maid for sure. I love to cook and get groceries (although I hate the process of a grocery store!) but I HATE cleaning bathrooms.

    February 26, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterChristina Eastham

I think I'd choose the maid. I love to cook and lucky for me, I don't have picky eaters. Plus I enjoy grocery shopping most of the time. But the one thing I dislike the most is cleaning, and especially the bathroom.

    February 26, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterValerie

I have actually thought about this question before! CHEF. Cleaning is easy and with the right music or tv in the background, it can even be enjoyable. I do enjoy cooking, but it is tedious to go to the grocery store, and planning nutritious yet delicious meals that picky eaters won't frown at is near impossible. What's worse than slaving away in the kitchen for two hours (after planning the meal and shopping for it) to have the husband say, ehh, not my favorite? (Or worse.... feed it to the dog when you're not looking!)

If someone else is worrying about the day-to-day healthy foods for your entire family, then you're free to bake (buttery unhealthy stuff) for fun every once in a while, guilt free!

    Maid!!

If she will clean up the dirty dishes, I'll gladly do the cooking! And to never have to clean cobwebs or spot treat laundry ever again would be an extra special bonus.

And I know this is a hypothetical question because who in their right mind would cheerfully clean the diaper pail and litter box? : )

Definitely a MAID!! I enjoy cooking.

    February 26, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterKristin

Definately the MAID!!! Too bad it will never happen.

    February 26, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJesy

The maid all the way!!!!!! :)
