A Little Slow On The Uptake

I saw a Ford Pinto on the road today.  It was the first one I've seen in years.  It reminded me of this:

A close match to the 14 year old model my high school boyfriend drove.

Really?  The car should have said it all.  One look should have sent me running the other way.

Oh, memories! A guy I liked had a silver Pinto with a red? stripe. It was so cool. The Pinto and the Vega came out while I was in high school. Maybe the Maverick, too? I loved those cars and always hoped to have one. Too bad about the exploding gas tank....

    Good find!

That is so great. Growing up we had all manner of wacky cars, that's what it makes me think of. I will never forget my dad's car's beginning license plate sequence (if that makes sense!)-YKW because it stood for (in my mind) Yellow, Ken Webb. (Yellow was, of course, the color of the car.) :)

Wait a minute...that was a bonefide stud-muffin ride back in the day. We had a neighbor with a cute teenage son who would ride in the back with the hatch open. Like he was too dang smokin' to ride with all the doors shut. Phew. Memories. =)

It's cracking me up that some of you LIKE this car. I was embarrassed to me seen in it!
