Curlisse
Curlisse is a Standard Poodle. We got her when Reagan was four. Reagan's favorite movie that year was Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. She named everything after Rudolph's girlfriend, Clarisse. Her stuffed animals, her imaginary friends, the people she painted pictures of at pre-school. Everything. Only
Reagan couldn't say "Clarisse" so everything was named "Curlisse." We thought it would be cute to
give that name to the dog.
We've been explaining the name ever since.
JuJu Bee
When Faith was in kindergarten, her favorite book was Skippy John Jones by Judy Schachner. It's about a Siamese kitten who thinks he is a Chihuahua. It's a terrific book. If anyone in your house is between the
ages of 4-8, I highly recommend it. Anyway, Faith loved this book and so we got her a Siamese kitten for Christmas. She is named for one of Skippy John Jones' sisters.
Jones
Jones, named after the title character in Skippy Jon Jones is our most recent addition. He's the only male pet we've ever owned. Also the whiniest. Probably not a coincidence.
Jamboree
While not technically an inhabitant, because we board her at a nearby stable, Jamboree is still part of our
pet family. I could make up something cute about her name I suppose, but the truth of the matter is that
she came with it. As horse names go, it's a pretty good one. We call her Jamby for short.
